  • Avocado Festival is committed to featuring a diverse selection of handcrafted goods, locally sourced products & a wide range of food vendors. *Applications from multi-level marketing (MLM) or information-based businesses are not currently being accepted.

    Avocado Festival 2026 will feature three types of vendors. Please review the fees and required documentation for each vendor type. More information about the types of products each vendor is allowed and any other details regarding amenities and event information will be covered on the next page.

     All payments are subject to addt'l $3.50 convenience fee added automatically to total.
    Registration fee varies by location. More details covered in the following pages.
    All vendors will need to be approved by GPCC. Application does not secure a spot at the event.

    All applications will be reviewed and approved individually by Greater Pharr Chamber of Commerce. Vendors approved will receive an email that includes Approval confirmation.

  • Rules of Engagement
    Avocado Fest 2026

    Please read all of the following sections carefully. The Rules of Engagement are event guidelines that must be followed by all vendors approved to attend and sell at the event.

    A copy of the Avocado Fest 2026 rules of Engagement will be sent to you
    along with a receipt of your registration.

    • Event Information 
    • Avocado Festival 2026 will be held on Saturday, October 10th.
      It will be located at Downtown Pharr at 118 S CAGE
      BLVD.
      The event will be from 2PM - 11PM.

      Food & beverage vendor booths will be located along West Caffery, and market vendor booths will be located along Cage Blvd and Park Ave.

    • Food & Beverage Vendors
      $275 - $350
      Not accepting food trucks

      Food & Beverage vendors are allowed to sell prepared foods, as registered on this form and approved by GPCC, and prepared drinks such as slushies, aguas frescas, lemonades, etc., as registered on this form and approved by Chamber.

      Food & Beverage vendors are not allowed to sell water, sodas, sport drinks, or alcohol.

       

      Market Vendors
      $225 - $450
      Not accepting MLM or informative booths

      Market vendors are allowed to sell any number of non-food items, as registered on this form and approved by GPCC. Any food items sold by market vendors must be fully packaged, or the vendor will otherwise be considered a food vendor and must follow food vendor guidelines.

       

      Farmer's Market Vendor
      $275

      Farmer's Market vendors may sell fresh produce and homemade goods, as registered on this form and approved by GPCC. Must provide valid Cottage License.

       

      Please Note:

      Submitting your vendor registration does not guarantee acceptance for Avocado Festival.
      All applications will be reviewed and approved individually by Greater Pharr Chamber of Commerce.

      Vendors approved will receive an email that includes Approval confirmation and will be contacted regarding any vendor updates, vendor placement, & a final vendor meeting to cover logistics such as vendor set up time prior to the event.

      VENDOR MEETING IS MANDATORY TO ATTEND. Approved vendors who fail to participate in follow-up Vendor Meeting will not be able to participate in the event.

      Vendor Meetings will take place September 10th and September 24th at 5:30PM. Vendors are only obligated to participate in ONE meeting session.

      All custom signage provided by the City of Pharr is property of the City of Pharr.
      GPCC and the City of Pharr are not liable for lost, broken, or stolen items, as well as minor or major injuries.
      Per City Management and the Avocado Festival committee, all vendors are to submit name of business and approved menu items according to registration.

    • Rules & Regulations - Market & Famer's Market Vendors 
      • Market vendors will be provided with a 10’ x 10’ tent, Signage with Business Name, (1) 8’ table and (2) folding chairs. You may bring extra tables as long as they fit under your tent. Vendors are to stay within their booth area.

      • No handwritten signage will be allowed. If seen with handwritten signage, vendor will be asked to remove signage from vendor booth.

      • Shelving is permitted but must be securely anchored to the ground. A photo of the setup must be submitted to GPCC for approval prior to the event.

      • Electricity will not be provided, and personal generators are strictly prohibited. Vendors are encouraged to bring battery-powered lighting and electronics, if needed.

      • Vendors are not to use their personal generators. City will not be providing electricity for Market Vendors. 

      • No refrigerators  or freezers are allowed in Market Vendor area. 

      • The sale of firearms, knives, laser pointers, lighters, tasers, and tobacco products (including cigars) is strictly prohibited.

      • Vendors can only sell what was registered for upon registration and approved. 

      • There will be a limit of similar items sold. 

      • Alcohol sales are not permitted by market vendors. 

      • Vendors are not to leave early before the event is over. Unless reason is given to GPCC and approved. 

      • All final sales must be completed 15 minutes before the end of the event due to city community evacuation regulations. 

      • Non-compliance with event rules may result in immediate removal from the venue without a refund, as well as disqualification from future events.
    • Rules & Regulations - Food Vendors 
      • Food vendors will be provided with a 10’ x 10’ fire retardant tent, Signage with Business Name and Menu. Vendors are allowed to bring tables but must remain under vendor booth.

      • No feather flags will be permitted.

      • No handwritten signage will be allowed. If seen with handwritten signage, vendor will be asked to remove signage from vendor booth.

      • Food vendors MUST submit a valid/current food handler license and will need to have food handlers license displayed during the duration of the festival.

      • All cooking and food preparation must take place strictly inside your designated food tent. Operating outside the tent footprint is not permitted.

      • All food vendors MUST wear gloves when cooking and serving.

      • Food vendors MUST always wear a hair net or cap when cooking and serving.

      • No jewelry is permitted to wear during cooking and serving.

      • All vendors Must provide a commercial-grade 3 prong 12-gauge extension cord of 100 feet. No spiced wires or splitters are allowed. Surge protector is permissible to only 2 plugins.  – reference to picture.

      • Food vendors MUST provide their own grease pan.

      • Everything food vendors will cook and serve MUST be done within the food tent, not outside of it.

      • All food vendors MUST have a current CLASS ABC Fire extinguisher 20lbs nothing less.

      • All food vendors frying food MUST have a current Class K Fire extinguisher and a current CLASS ABC Fire extinguisher 20lbs nothing less.

      • All food vendors MUST have a washing station. – Vendors who do not have one during the time of inspection will be told to leave and will not be reimbursed.

      • Food vendors must bring their own tables to use.

      • All final sales must be completed 30 minutes before the end of the event due to city community evacuation regulations.

      • Non-compliance with event rules may result in immediate removal from the venue without a refund, as well as disqualification from future events.
    • Vital Information from Health/Code Compliance & the Fire Department 
    • ATTENTION FOOD VENDORS

      Fire and health will be having food vendor inspections the day of the event.To ensure a smooth start, please double-check that your booth is fully compliant and ready for inspection.

       

      ON BEHALF OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT: 

      Anyone cooking on-site must have the recommended fire extinguisher available at their booth or station (details outlined below).

      Below is a list of things you can do to make sure that the food you are handling stays safe. These things might not seem like a big deal to you, but they can be very dangerous if not followed.

      ·        IF YOU ARE SICK, DON’T WORK!
