  • The Pharr Connect Digital Literacy Program provides courses that teach everything from basic computer skills to internet safety. The goal of the program is to teach and reinforce essential digital skills that will allow our learners to use computers and navigate the internet safely and confidently.

    Program Eligibility
    The Pharr Connect Digital Literacy Program is only available to Pharr Residents who are 18 years or older. It is not required for participants to have or register for Pharr Connect internet services to participate in the program.

    Registration
    Completion of this form does not guarantee a spot. Interested participants will receive a follow-up call from a Digital Navigator to complete registration. To avoid missed calls due to unknown numbers, please save (956) 402-2000 to your contacts.

    Children
    Due to limited space and to maintain a calm, quiet learning environment, chidlren are not allowed in the training space.

    Attendance & Course Completion
    80% attendance is required in order to complete the program. Make-up classes are available to learners, instructors will share make-up class dates as they become available.Attendance is the participant's responsibility. Exceptions cannot be made.

    Receiving a Laptop
    Laptops are provided to participants to successfully complete the Pharr Connect Digital Literacy Program courses, courtesy of Methodist Healthcare Ministries. Subsequent completion of levels and courses does not qualify participants to receive subsequent laptops. Multiple participants of the same household (spouse, roommate, adult children, etc.) will not receive a laptop each. Only one laptop may be awarded per household.
